Town of Digby

New Town, New Beginnings

Welcome to the Town of Digby! Finally, a new town since the Town of Gnawnia!

In the Town of Digby, there are 2 main groups of mice: the Indigenous Mice and the Digby Dirt Dwellers. The Indigenous Mice are more or less those you've encountered in Gnawnia and in the Laboratory so far. They should be nothing new. However, the Digby Dirt Dwellers are a new group of mice native to the Town of Digby. These mice are only attracted by Limelight Cheese. Unfortunately, at the title of Master, you do not have the ingredients to craft this cheese, neither do you have a trap that is strong enough to catch these mice. We will revisit Digby for these new mice once we have attained a higher title!

For now, let's focus on our main goal:

Catch a Zombie Mouse and get the Tattered Mousoleum Map Piece

Another map piece to hunt for! Why yes, this will pretty much be the case for unlocking new locations all the time! With that being said, the zombie mouse isn't particularly a breeze to catch. You may miss one or two before laying your hands on one with the map but if you get it on your first catch, great! Once you have acquired the Tattered Mousoleum Map Piece, you will complete "Explore Digby to Unearth the Mousoleum" in the adventure book, as well as gain access to the Mousoleum.

Once you have your 30 plus RB potions, convert your brie into RB cheese. Take note, converting brie into RB cheese will require gold (300 gold per piece). As such, it is advisable for you to convert just a few (about 5 potions) first, gain some gold from catching mice and then using the some of the earned gold to convert more cheese. Another reason for not converting all your cheese at one go is because as the conversion rate improves as you rank up so you'll be able to convert more later on. Okay, great, to the Mousoleum!

But wait just a minute! The Mousoleum? What mice will we encounter here?!

Good point. The Mousoleum is home to group of mice known as the "Shadow Clan", and these mice are weak to... you guessed it, shadow traps! Hence, we will need a shadow trap or we'll have a really hard time catching anything. To the trapsmith!

There are 3 main shadow weapons that you may purchase from the Town of Digby Trapsmith. Let's assess them one by one:

Sinister Portal

1,025 power, 5% power bonus, 0% attraction bonus, 0 luck, stale cheese effect

Cost: 140,600 gold / Point Requirement: 182,000 points

This will most probably be your weapon of choice. While both the sinister and the ambrosial portals share the same power value, the additional 5% power bonus of the sinister portal will give it an edge over the ambrosial since both these portals have no luck at all.

Ambrosial Portal

1,025 power, 0% power bonus, 5% attraction bonus, 0 luck, fresh cheese effect

Cost: 140,000 gold / Point Requirement: 182,000 points

There should be no circumstance that you will get this trap over the sinister. While the 5% attraction bonus is nice, in the Mousoleum, you will be using RB cheese, a cheese that has an almost 100% attraction rate. This makes the attraction bonus redundant and you're better off converting that attraction into power as such is the case for the sinister portal. The fresh cheese effect is irrelevant as you can always make use of stale RB cheese (or radioactive sludge) in the future should your cheese ever stale. Go for sinister over this trap.

Bottomless Grave

1,500 power, 0% power bonus, 0% attraction, 5 luck, no cheese effect

Cost: 673,630 gold / Point Requirement: 728,000 points

This trap really seems like a waste of gold. It's marginally better than the portals in terms of power and has 5 additional luck, but at a cost of a whopping 673,630 gold! At the Master level, there is no way you'll be able to afford this (even if you are funded, you'll not be able to meet the point requirement to equip this trap). Perhaps you might come back for this later on for use in the islands but with the emergence of better shadow traps such as the gorgon trap and other Halloween event traps, this trap has pretty much lost its relevance in the game.

Seems like the answer is simple, then. Purchase the sinister portal and we'll prepare to move off to the Mousoleum! Return to the lab if you need to collect more potions.

Digby Revisited

Welcome back! This portion of Digby isn't much of a progress to the game but it is nice to explore! Since we now have the enraged rhinobot (or the rhinobot at least), we'll have a much easier time with the mice here. First, let us head to the general store.

You'll notice that it sells living shards at 1,200 gold per piece. Buy about 120 pieces. We're going to craft limelight cheese using the formula:

30 Curds and Whey + 3 Living Shards + 3 Radioactive Sludge = 3 Limelight Cheese

OR

30 Curds and Whey + 3 Living Shards + 3 Radioactive Sludge + 6 Magic Essence = 6 Limelight Cheese

Personally, I wouldn't use the SB+ formula as the conversion rate isn't fantastic. Now, arm your newly crafted limelight cheese with your enraged rhinobot and your luckiest base (which would be the aqua base) and hunt away! The mice here shouldn't be too tough.

There isn't really a goal here. However, you can try to go for the boss mouse here, which is the Big Bad Burroughs Mouse. He isn't particularly easy to catch, and neither does he visit often; but give it a while and eventually you'll catch him. He drops the Monolith base. "A free base?!" Yes, technically, it's free, and it's the only base that can be looted from a mouse. However, if you've already progressed to the isles, you probably won't get much use out of this base.

Monolith Base

300 power, 12% power bonus, 0% attraction bonus, 0 luck, no cheese effect

Point Requirement: 590,000 points

This base provides a pretty good base power and a good power bonus pre-isles. Use this if you managed to loot it before you've reached the tribal isles. Otherwise, there isn't much use for this base due to its complete lack of luck and attraction.

Had fun? Great. There isn't much left to do. You could try for the nugget mouse, he's really rare. Otherwise, it's time to return to the game progression!
