S.S Huntington III

Let's Set Sail!

Are you ready to hit the islands? Not so fast though, we're going to need a ship to do that! "Where could we possibly find a ship?" We're building one, of course!

Time to do some shopping and spend all that hard earned gold!

Okay, here's a list of the items we are going to buy:
  • 100 Rope
  • 70 Bolts of Cloth
  • 1 King's Reserve Bubbleh (It's not a ship commissioning without alcohol, is it?)
  • 900 Splintered Wood
  • 18 Scrap Metal
Most of the items can be bought from the Great Gnarled Tree General Store. The splintered wood can be found at the Training Grounds General Store. Scrap metal can be dropped by mice from the Catacombs or from the Hydra mice in the Lagoon. Got all your stuff? Yes, it's painfully expensive but that's part of the game! Good, let's build our ship!

Crafting the Ship:

1 Ship Blueprints + 100 Rope + 70 Bolts of Cloth + 1 King's Reserve Bubbleh + 18 Scrap Metal = 1 S.S Huntington III

OR

1 Ship Blueprints + 100 Rope + 70 Bolts of Cloth + 18 Scrap Metal = 1 Unchristened Ship

1 Unchristened Ship + 1 King's Reserve Bubbleh = 1 S.S Huntington III

There's essentially no difference to the recipes. Now that you've completed crafting your ship, you'll have access to the wonderful Rodentia Ocean!

All Aboard!

Welcome to the S.S Huntington III! Man, that's a mouthful! Anyways, this is currently the only location in Rodentia you'll have access to. Don't worry, we'll explore the rest of the Rodentia Ocean in due time! First, let's hunt in the ship!

Mice from the S.S Huntington III are from the "Aquatic Order" group. As the name suggests, these mice are of a Hydro power type and therefore, we'll need a Hydro trap at our disposal! You know the drill, to the trapsmith!

Harpoon Gun

3,000 power, 7% power bonus, 0% attraction bonus, 0 luck, stale cheese effect

Cost: 664,500 gold / Point Requirement: 3,384,000 points

Both the traps offered are almost as equally as expensive but the harpoon gun is actually not as good as the net cannon, due to the latter's additional 5 luck. Luck becomes a greater deciding factor when it comes to the correct power type. The difference in attraction rate is irrelevant. Do not get this trap over the net cannon. However, if you have gotten this trap, not to worry - you won't be using it for very long.

Net Cannon

3,000 power, 0% power bonus, 3% attraction bonus, 5 luck, stale cheese effect

Cost: 664,000 gold / Point Requirement: 3,384,000 points

This will be your trap of choice for initial hunting in the ship as well as in the tribal isles, mainly due to the luck you get. It isn't much luck to go crazy over but it will surely make a difference. Likewise, you'll be upgrading your hydro trap soon enough so it doesn't matter all that much which trap you pick at this point.

Aqua Base

230 power, 0% power bonus, 0% attraction bonus, 8 luck, no cheese effect

Cost: 124,900 gold / Point Requirement: 1,140,000 points

The aqua base does not seem very impressive at first look. Mediocre power, and absolutely no power or attraction bonus. However, the thing that makes the aqua base invaluable for hunting now and in the isles is the high luck. 8 luck for a base?! Yes! This is a base you'll definitely want to get. (Unless you have had access to the candy cane base during the Greater Winter Hunt events)

Once all that shopping's done, the following should be your set-up:

Trap: Net Cannon
Base: Aqua Base
Cheese: Brie

Our time in the S.S Huntington will not be a very long one; our goal is simple.

Obtain the following items from the following mice:

  • Telescope from the Captain Mouse
  • Sextant from the Shipwrecked Mouse
  • Compass from the Bottled Mouse
This shouldn't be too tough to accomplish. There are some mice here that may a challenge to catch, such as the Leviathan and Squeaken. Anyways, once you done, go ahead and craft the Ocean Navigation Kit:

1 Telescope + 1 Sextant + 1 Compass = 1 Ocean Navigation Kit

With that, you can now explore the Tribal Isles region! This will complete "Navigate the Rodentia Ocean" in the adventure book. Way to go! Other than that, there isn't much to do here other than to complete catching all the mice here. Some of the mice such as the Mermouse and Shelder are rare (particularly the Shelder). The Cook Mouse is an exclusively SB+ mouse too.

To the Tribal Isles!
